Junogloc Shares His Introspective New Single “2Cent”

“Self realization hell of a drug, i’ll die tonight,” Junogloc took to instagram to promote his new single “2Cent.” Reflecting on his life, the Stone Mountain artist takes a vulnerable approach in expressing himself internally. The man he becomes, though, not who he aspires to be, but a work in progress. The truth can be a hard pill to swallow, as Junogloc continues to battle with himself mentally and his “sense of pride.”

Accompanied by singer SABRINA, the chemistry shared on this track is second to none. SABRINA gives additional harmonies providing that extra layer of melody – giving the song a good juxtaposition between the two artists. “One of my fav songs, and one of my fav people to work with” SABRINA said on Instagram. Giving a little insight of the relationship with Junogloc, it further proves that a good relationship is an important factor when creating music with another artist – as you can hear throughout the song.

When it comes to production, the tuneful-guitar is the canvas Junogloc utilizes to paint his picture of “self-realization” – the drums serve as the driving factor that give the track a laid-back groove. Junogloc keeps it honest as he details his life, sharing his perspective. He raps the lyrics ”It’s harder to swallow with cotton ball instead of tonsil, it’s harder to think plus to drink make me drown in my sorrow” –  explaining the difficulties of facing the truth and to think about it, while drinking only makes it worse.

Junogloc’s authenticity is key to the story he tells and he gives off the impression that he’s been able to hold his composure despite what he may be dealing with. The ability to realize what is taking place in one’s life is important, Junogloc redefines what it means to reflect on internal battles. Relatable to say the least, ‘“2Cent” serves as healing to those who may not look like the problems they deal with.
