Strick's "WASSUP" Sets The Bar High for Hip-Hop in 2023

One of the most evocative songs we have heard this year was brought to life by the multifaceted contemporary talent of Strick. "WASSUP" showcases Strick's ability to seamlessly blend a contagious and potent flow with captivating vocals, all while complemented by a smooth, bass-driven beat. The lucid single is beautifully layered with supplemental vocals reminiscent of tracks from artists like 21 Savage and Future. Strick has clearly established himself as an artist to know in 2023 with the release of "WASSUP," leaving listeners with no doubt of his talent and prowess.

The North Carolina born talent is no stranger to mainstream success, having been featured on “WokStar” from Young Thug and Gunna’s Billboard #1 album Slime Language 2, as well as performing sets at Rolling Loud and The Smokers Club Festival. In addition to displaying his vocal ingenuity, Strick has also proven fruitful with the pen by contributing to the writing of "Keep it Burning," a track by Future and Kanye West that was featured on the Billboard #1 album, I Never Liked You.

Strick has likewise accumulated an impressive resume within his own illustrious discography; his sophomore project, risk=reward 2, featured Lil Baby and Young Thug, which was followed by six more projects, each building out his catalog with collaborations from A$AP Rocky, 6LACK, NAV, Gunna, Kid Cudi, and other notable artists. If “WASSUP” is any foreshadowing of what Strick has in store for us in 2023, we can expect this year to be exciting for the veteran artist.
