In a year of legends releasing music alongside some of the most promising upcoming names in music, we saw barriers broken, genres blended and even created, and I feel this year will be the catalyst to what we see across music for years to come. The softcore sounds of Jean Dawson, alternative hiphop from grouptherapy. and a truly never before heard style of hip-hop from MAVI on his latest album, there was an album for everyone this year.
